GETTING HELPAlcoholism and addiction profoundly affect not only our clients, but the lives of their family, friends and business associates. Often friends, family or colleagues, encourage our clients to get into treatment or attend a 12 step recovery group. The disease of addiction is characterized by denial. It takes a significant effort to get a "using" addict or alcoholic to recognize their addiction and the toll it is taking on their friends and family. Addicts and alcoholics, their friends or family members, as well as individuals experiencing periodic difficulties with drugs or alcohol are welcomed to call for a free anonymous consultation. At Wonderland our team is available to answer your questions, provide resources and support. If you think a loved one may be using a substance like: alcohol, prescription pills, heroin or other opiates, crystal meth (meth amphetamine), cocaine or crack we can setup an intervention or assist with an assessment.
Wonderland provides expert evaluation, assessment, and diagnosis to help determine if care is required and at what level. Residential treatment does not fit for everyone. There are many options available including an outpatient program, sober living, group therapy, individual therapy, 12 Step meetings or sober assistants and companions. Our approach is to individualize care based on each individual’s needs. We perform a variety of services from cocaine interventions to providing sober assistants for business meetings or travel. The process of assessment begins with a simple phone call. If necessary, we will schedule an appointment for a more comprehensive evaluation. We maintain strict confidentiality at Wonderland. We hope we can help - please call us! |
INTERVENTION
There are a variety of signs that indicate a person may have a problem with drugs or alcohol. The sooner an addiction is diagnosed — whether it is crystal meth, cocaine, or any other kind of addiction — the better the possibility of minimizing the damage. Alcoholism and addiction progress in young people at a much faster rate than in adults. Interventions are becoming more common; many interventions are occurring before the person has suffered financial loss, health problem or arrest. If you see any of the warning signs lack of appetite, inability to sleep, lethargy, red and watery eyes, very large or pinpoint pupils, extreme hyperactivity, runny nose, sweating, tremors and excessive moodiness it is important to seek professional assistance. An early intervention may save a life.
Chemical dependency has become a big problem in the workplace, effecting workers ability to be productive and costing "billions" in lost revenue. Addiction results in high rates of absenteeism and increased health care costs. Some workplace signs of addiction include a change in job performance, irregular attendance, inability to take responsibility, unusual patterns of behavior and an unkempt personal appearance.
The very first step in implementing an intervention is selecting an experienced interventionist. Please call Wonderland Center for a current list of professional interventionists that we work with. At Wonderland, when the request for an intervention is placed, individualized drug treatment plans are developed. There are many options of treatment for an individual with an addictive disorder. Depending on the severity of the addiction and a person's health, family and business obligations we can provide a high level of healthcare without damaging the other areas of life.
An Intervention is a serious and delicate undertaking. Our treatment team offers both pre- and post-intervention guidance and counseling. Please contact us because we can help.
FAMILY SUPPORT
Chemical dependency is a disease that affects the entire family. Wives, husbands, parents and siblings experience consequences from a loved one's addiction and alcoholism. Studies show that treatment is stronger and more effective when family members are involved in the treatment process. At Wonderland Center we offer individual and group support for family members. Our family program is offered weekly and we offer family education, family process group and a double-winners Al-Anon/AA meeting on Saturday afternoons.
The family program at Wonderland provides a foundation of support and practical tools to empower the family and loved ones as they journey the path of recovery with their loved one.
