WONDERLAND CENTER NEWSDr. Howard Samuels Testifies in Sacramento ....The Senate Public Safety Committee's passed AB 259 by Assemblyman Anthony Adams which would prohibit a minor from purchasing the psychedelic drug Salvia Divinorum. The drug is currently legal for all ages. During the hearing the committee heard testimony from Kathy Chidester, whose son, Brett Chidester, died after using Salvia. Dr. Howard Samuels also testified about his personal experience treating a growing number of patients addicted to Salvia. Current state law allows for anyone to purchase the mind altering drug salvia divonorum, including children. As a result, there has been an alarming rise in teenagers experimenting with the drug leading to both injury and death.
